Disclaimer

Exobeacon Labs operates this website, the trading calculators hosted here, the research notes published under the Dialectic and Pulse sections, and the MQL5 indicators and expert advisors distributed through our account. This page sets out the terms under which that material is published, and what it is — and is not — intended to be.

Not investment advice

Nothing on exobeacon.com constitutes investment advice, a solicitation to trade, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, contract, or digital asset. We are a research and tooling publisher. We do not manage client funds, do not execute orders on behalf of third parties, and are not registered as an investment adviser, broker-dealer, introducing broker, commodity trading adviser, commodity pool operator, or futures commission merchant in any jurisdiction.

The calculators, dashboards, and analyses published here are educational instruments. They exist to help readers reason about market structure, position sizing, and risk. Decisions taken on the basis of anything you read on this site are your own decisions, made at your own risk.

Hypothetical and simulated performance

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission requires the following statement to accompany any presentation of hypothetical performance results. We reproduce it verbatim, in the capitalization mandated by Rule 4.41, and display it adjacent to every backtest image we publish — never tucked into a footer, never behind a toggle, always at the same type size as the body copy around it.

HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER- OR OVER-COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.

Read that block. It is not a formality. Simulated results are what you get when you run a strategy over history with full knowledge of that history; real trading is what you get when you run that strategy forward in a market that pushes back. The gap between the two is where most retail traders lose money.

Jurisdictional restrictions

The availability of products, contracts, and markets varies by jurisdiction. Certain financial instruments described or measured by tools on this site may be restricted or prohibited where you live. As one example: the United Kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority has banned the sale of crypto-currency contracts for difference to retail investors since 2021. If you are based in a jurisdiction where a tool, instrument, or analysis does not legally apply to you, the tool is published anyway, for research and educational purposes, but you should not trade on its basis.

We do not attempt to determine your jurisdiction automatically. The responsibility for complying with local law rests with you.

Third-party data and links

Several sections of exobeacon.com ingest data from third-party providers — Twelve Data, TradingView Lightweight Charts, FRED, CoinGecko, Marketaux, and others. Each provider has its own licensing, attribution requirements, and reliability characteristics. We cache aggressively and attribute on the page where the data appears. When a data source is unreachable we render fallback content or mock fixtures, clearly labelled as such, rather than guess.

Outbound links to MQL5 products, broker websites, or prop-firm challenges use the rel="noopener sponsored" attribute where commercial interest applies, and carry UTM parameters so we can measure which of our pages send traffic. We do not operate affiliate programs that pay us per conversion; our economics depend on subscription revenue from the Tools section, not referrals.

No promise of availability

The website, its calculators, and its APIs are provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of computations, freshness of market data, or continuity of any specific feature. We publish changelogs for our MQL5 products and pin verification dates against prop-firm rules, but the underlying regulations, broker specifications, and exchange rules can change between verifications. When they do, the calculators will be wrong until we update them.
